We don’t just hold competitions! During the school holidays Move It Shake It hold residentials and holiday camps for dancers of all ages.
Our Residentials are the first of their kind in the UK, where dancers train all day and stay over in an incredible private school with university style boarding houses at night.
Move It Shake It’s Holiday camps allow dancers to push their training further in the school holidays whilst also having a whole lot of fun with new friends.
Dancers will take part in a variety of masterclasses throughout the day, and then in the evenings take part in dance photo shoots, parties, theatre performances, movie nights, plus loads more!
The dancers are fully catered for and will have a huge choice of food during meal times. We offer a hot/cold breakfast with a full fruit bar, a 3 course lunch, a 3 course dinner, full salad bar (both lunch and dinner), hot and cold drinks throughout the day, as well as snacks available at anytime.
Class styles include- Commercial, Jazz, Lyrical, Contemporary, Street, Hip Hop, Ballet, Contortion, Heels, Acrobatics, Tumbling, Audition technique, Aerial silk , Aerial hoop, Yoga, Strengthening and Flexibility, Musical Theatre, plus tonnes more!
As I mentioned, our residentials are the first of their kind in the UK (in saying that I can’t find anywhere else in the world that is offering an intensive like this) so it’s going to be so so exciting for the dancers not only to be able to take part in these fantastic classes, but to also build confidence make new friends, and all round have an absolute blast of a time!!
Our residentials are held in Private Schools in the Midlands with dancers staying over in the schools boarding houses. We do also have an option for dancers that live close by to do a non-residential option where they come and go each day.
Just a little background on me for those of you who don’t know me well, I run a children’s dance events company during the day, and have been running residential camps for around 13 years so this is not new for me, and this will be my 16th Dance Residential !!
I have an enhanced DBS (as do all my team) as well as “Intro to Safeguarding” and “Further safeguarding child protection” Qualifications, First Aid Trainer Training (qualified to train staff on first aid as well being first aid trained), and of course a trained dance teacher with over 16 years of experience.
So your dancers are in safe hands!
Dance teachers who will be teaching throughout the week, are going to be West End Stars, backing dancers for Little Mix, Britney Spears, Robbie Williams, Dua Lipa, Kanye West, Liam Payne, as well as some other well known teachers!
*Dancers must be aged 6-18
*Payments are taken in 1, 2, 6, or 11 instalments. This is to make it easier and more doable for dancers should you be interested
Our Holiday Clubs are perfect for dancers who just can’t dance enough! They allow dancers to push their training further whilst having a whole lot of fun doing it.
Dancers take part in a variety of classes including- Jazz, Lyrical, Commercial, Ballet, Acro, Tumbling, Aerial silks and hoop, Acting, Singing, Flexibility, Leaps, turns and kicks technique and so much more! Plus days are filled with lots of games and challenges to help boost dancers confidence and make new friends.
All teachers have an enhanced DBS as well as training in safeguarding and first aid.
Clubs are held in locations all around the UK so keep your eyes peeled for one near you!
